Artist's Description
"Forest Friends" is a Fabric Melodies illustration from the children's book, Meet Tweet, by Mary Young and published by Pucky Huddle Books (PuckyHuddleBooks.com). It is the first book to include my Fabric Melodies illustrations. The digital image was created with scanned fabrics - batiks - that are selected specifically for their extraordinary patterns. Using Photoshop, I designed and constructed each digital image - layer by layer - before watercolor details are added. The process is repeated until each digital image is completed. The image is so vivid in color and detail - and would make a great addition to any child's room. A metal print from Fine Art America is an excellent choice for displaying the beauty and uniqueness of this Fabric Melodies image.
About Robin Morgan
Digital Artist/Graphic Designer Robin G. Morgan has been involved in the visual arts for over thirty-five years. She began her artistic journey as a school volunteer, before becoming an educational consultant, digital publisher, graphic designer, media developer, and middle/high school digital arts teacher. Fabric Melodies are created with scanned fabrics that are selected specifically for their extraordinary patterns. Using Photoshop, Ms. Morgan designs then constructs each digital image–layer by layer—before watercolor details are added. The process is repeated until each digital image is completed.
